What are your views on the Rob Bell controversy over his book "Love Wins"? Do you think as some prominent pastors and bible teachers have said that Rob Bell is a false teacher bordering on heresy or an outright heretic in regard to orthodox doctrine specifically in regard to universalism?

I think we have to be careful before we publicly throw out words like heretic or false teacher, even if we believe that somebody is wrong in their theological views. I do believe that "Love Wins" goes outside of what scripture clearly teaches in regards to the topic of hell and what happens to someone after they die. Part of God's love, grace, mercy and compassion for us is the fact that we are warned about the possibility of eternal separation from Him. The horror is that every single one of us chooses that separation until God comes in and rescues us and we are transformed from a life of darkness into one of light and joy.
