fog on the Glass

Hi Ronnie. There's something really ethereal about "A Glass to Count All the Hours" that I like... the song sounds like it's being heard through a fog, or over a radio channel. It makes me think of what it is like trying to remember something and not being able to remember everything correctly--just enough to get a fuzzy image of thing, whether it's an actual picture, or an idea, or whatnot.

I imagine this sound was intentional. What did you do to achieve it?

Well, I was trying to make the song sound "glassy", so I think your description is good. I think a lot of that effect came from using very muted and spooky sorts of textures and by not using any drums. It was all mixed very quietly as well.
